Bath is not exactly the first location that comes to mind when you think of startups trying to tackle analysis of social media. But you'd be wrong to ignore it.
While the country was getting excited by the prospect of Labour winning the General Election of 2015, MyCommunity was busy working on a platform that could bring the benefits of the big social networks to local communities.
MyCommunity were looking at the time for a way to measure engagement on social media networks. For that they needed tools and data. The General Election 2015 provided a steady stream of the data which produced very interesting results…
What we’ve accomplished:

Built a language-independent sentiment analysis toolkit.
2.
Built social media ingestion toolbox.
3.
Predicted Conservatives' victory by analysing Twitter data. (Still wishing we placed some bets with the bookies…)
